Bug Battle Game will be launched on “Steam” December 8, 2017.
Even though this is a simple game, there are a lot of elements that I have had to pull together to make it a fun yet challenging game.
I signed up with “Steam” to market this game but they have a checklist of things I have to do before they will accept my game.
The earliest I can launch it is December 8th assuming they approve my trailer, screen shots, coming up video and game information. If all goes well, I will have a “Coming Up” video this Friday.
Meanwhile, I am officially a “business” in San Diego County now and have attended workshops on how to run a small business. I have created over 30 backgrounds, found creepy bug background music, written a script for the videos and I am still fine tuning the algorithms to increase the difficulty of each level as well as decreasing the sizes of the sprites to make it more difficult as each level progresses.
Fortunately, my mom, who had no idea what a “sprite” was a year ago, is creating the bug sprites.
One of my mom’s former colleagues, Robert Santos, has been hired to do the voice-overs.
My sister Kayla is going to make an animated character of the narrator.
It truly has been a team effort and I appreciate everybody who has tested it, given me advice and helped keep me motiviated.
As soon as I get a few more “bugs” removed, pun intended, I will post a sample of the first five levels. It should give you a good idea of what the game looks like at this point.
With that said, here is the “Trailer.” Enjoy!
